What we collect

  • The details you send in our forms: name, email, WhatsApp number, the style you want, appointment date and place, travel dates and any notes.
  • Messages you send us on WhatsApp, including reference photos.
  • Booking records: quote, deposit, amount paid, the braider assigned and the appointment date.
  • A booking reference (for example ML-1013-K7Q4) and how you found us (for example TikTok, Google or a partner hotel’s link), so we can see which channels bring bookings.

Analytics cookies, only if you accept

If you choose Accept on the cookie banner, Google Analytics records the pages you visit, your device type, your approximate location and clicks on our booking buttons. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and we never send your name, phone number or email to Google Analytics. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your cookie choice at any time.

Why we use it

To reply to you, send a quote, arrange and confirm your appointment, match you with a braider, send the reminders and aftercare advice you asked for, and understand which pages help people book.

Who sees it

  • The owners of Mamacita Lounge.
  • The braider assigned to your appointment, who receives only what they need: your first name, style, date, time and location.
  • The services we use to run the website and messages: WordPress.com (website and forms), WhatsApp (messages) and Google Analytics (only if you accept).

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Booking records and form messages are kept for up to 24 months after your last appointment, then deleted. Analytics data is kept by Google for up to 14 months.

Your rights

Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how we use it. Email or WhatsApp us and we will reply within one month. You can also contact the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
